| Fellow
Hunters,
I consider myself truly lucky to be able to teach the youth in our
high schools, coach athletes that truly care about sports, and
supply hunters with equipment to fuel their passion for the
outdoors. It is through these three passions that I have that
I have come to realize that each and every day that we wake up to
face the challenges that await us is a great day. I must say
that I have been extremely lucky in life to have a loving family,
great friends and coworkers, great health, and numerous other
blessings that God has granted me. Some, however, are not so
fortunate. There are numerous people that we come into contact
with on a daily basis that could use help of some kind to realize
their full potential in life. Of the many ways that we can
help them, I think that charitable contributions are best to reach a
mass of people that are in need. For this reason, each month
Select Archery and Outdoor Supply will donate at least 10% of all
profits to a specific charity.
For the month of September, the St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital was chosen by me to be a recipient of profits in memory of
my friend who passed away from cancer in her teens. Your
purchases helped to raise $98.95 that will be given to St. Jude in
honor of my friend. Indeed, this is not an extraordinarily
large contribution of money, but it is a start and this is a
relatively new business. It is my hope that over a year's
time, the total contributions from your purchases at Select Archery
and Outdoor Supply will reach over $1000.00. As of now, this
seems to be a lofty goal, but I have faith that we can affect people
for the greater good no matter how seemingly small our contribution
is.
Would you like to suggest a charity to receive funds? Please email
me and tell me about the charity that you would like to receive
help from hunters like yourself. Looking for other ways to
help? Get involved in a church, school support group, or
community outreach group. You would be surprised at how far a
little effort on your part can really go in improving someone else's
life. To the world you may be one person, but to one person
you may be the world.
Thank you and God
bless,
Jim Rumps
